I thought I would share with you our wonderful week at Kiltannon Farm Home. We fell in love with Ireland and the most wonderful, cordial people. The three bedroom condo there was excellent. I was so pleased that the furnishings, although new, were in keeping with the location . (I have stayed in Scotland in a place where the lobby was furnished with lovely antiques but the room had cheap, modern stuff that spoiled the whole idea.) The kitchen was more than adequate, both in the appliances and the thoughtful condiments. We didn’t cook a lot, but we could have if we wanted to. The wi-fi was installed the last day, but the television was operable and we made out. Who wants to watch television when a gorgeous country awaits?

The first night, Gary Pepper of Pepper’s Pub came to take us to his well known pub. I doubt that we could have found it on our own! Thank you for telling us to rent a car. We couldn’t have managed without it. Driving on the left side of the street was a challenge, but we managed very well–no accidents! Each morning we were treated to the sight of a mare with her new foal, and the training of jumpers. Our favorite spots were Bunratty Castle, The Cliff of Moher, Knappogue Castle and Walled Gardens, Craggaunowen, (a visit back in time), many Abbeys and ruins everywhere. The flowers were blooming everywhere, and all the hills were so green. The weather was very windy and often rainy, but we were prepared for it. Dallas is suffering with upper 90 degrees, so the 50s were delightful. Our musician son/brother, was treated to wonderful music, and we all had great tastes of Ireland at the pubs. Truly, you can safely recommend this location to anyone with no reservations. Mary, the Agent at Kiltannon was so helpful, and Gina, the owner, couldn’t have been nicer.

We had a fantastic time, in spite of the scary driving!!!!! Kiltannon far exceeded our expectations. We loved Ireland so much that we would like to come back, but stay a bit longer next time. We were rushed trying to see all we could. The people, pubs, food and scenery were beautiful. Thanks so much for all your help. We cannot stop talking about Ireland. P.S.- Fell in love with Guinness and Jameson Whiskey (great on oatmeal!) Needed it for the horrific driving, tee hee.

he kids had a great time in Ireland although the weather was rather cool. They were very pleasantly surprised at how very beautiful the condo was at Kiltannon. My grandson thought it would be great to be able to just LIVE there forever….We picked them up from the airport and have seen a few pictures on Facebook but I’m anxious to spend more time, seeing more pictures and hearing more about their adventures.

You were very much right when you said that they would be well looked after. The People at Kiltannon treated them great!

Thank you so much for everything! – Gail Maxwell

Just to let you know we had a wonderful week at Kiltannon Home Farm.  The facility is first class in every way and beautifully appointed.  Mary the on site manager was super friendly and helpful – a real delight to work with. The high point of our visit was the night at Peppers with music.  At one point during the evening there was a total of NINE musicians playing!!  The food was excellent and fairly priced and the transport made it possible not to worry about drinking too much. Once we had the driving down -GPS was a great help – we roamed widely and had good luck with the weather.  Only one all day rain after we had really finished our sightseeing.  We much enjoyed the Abbey at Quinn and returned to the Abbey Tavern for several meals over the week. The Cliffs, Arran Islands, the Burren, The Birds of Prey Centre at Ballyvaughn, and Bunratty Castle and the Winery there were delightful as was a drive up thru Scarrif.

Your info sent out ahead was a great help in deciding what to do.  Thanks for all your help.  We would be happy to talk or email with anyone thinking about going there.
