Each Kitchen has ; Oven, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, fridge and dishwasher, iron and ironing board.

Living rooms have Satellite Tv/Dvd, Cd/radio

Main Bedroom has hair dryer, clock radio.

Cottages either have their own washing machine and dryer (depending on the size of the unit) or access to washing machines and dryers in laundry room – there is no charge for using these machines.

Q. How are the beds arranged?

Each 3 bedroom unit has 2 king size double bedrooms and a twin bedroom.

Each 2 bedroom unit has 1 king size double bedroom and a twin room.

The 1 bedroom unit has a twin bedroom.

Unfortunately it is not possible to change these bed configurations.

There is a sofa bed in each unit too and all bedrooms are ensuite with shower rooms.

Q. Is there Internet Access in the units?

Yes. There is internet access but please recognize we are situated out in the countryside and our internet comes in on the phone line and is not 100% reliable. If there is a problem the guests are welcome to use one of the computers in the office during office hours. There is no charge for the internet.

Q. Can I use my US hair straighteners or curling tongs?

No. Because they work off 110 volts and our European voltage is 240 – we do provide adaptors for plugs but we don’t provide voltage converters anymore as they were continually being blown and they cost us too much. You are welcome to bring your own if you really feel the need but again we don’t recommend them for any electrical hair items.

Q. Is there a telephone in each unit?

Yes. There is a direct dial telephone in each unit and the charges are listed for outgoing calls. Unfortunately, as we are a small resort the system does not allow it to accept incoming calls to each unit. The resort number is 00 353 65 6831999/ or 00 353 65 6831555 but the office is not continually manned, so please leave a message.

Q. What does the utility charge cover?

The utility charge goes towards our very high electricity and oil heating costs, Rubbish and recycling bin collections and water charges.

Q. What tours are available to take from Kiltannon?

The tours are operated by a local company and this years tours are still being updated but there is always a tour around the Burren, another to Connemara and either Dingle or Waterford. Please check this page for updates as we receive them. They generally cost about 30 euro per person for the full day (depending on their destination) but I will give more details when I receive them.

Q. Should I hire a car?

Yes. Absolutely. Public transport is very limited in the Irish countryside and taxis are expensive – 30 euro one way from Ennis to Kiltannon. To get the best from your holiday it is recommended to hire a car (and navigation system!)

Q. How far is the nearest supermarket?

Tulla village has a very good supermarket which is open quite late most evenings – 8pm on Saturdays.

Q. Are there good pub/restaurants in the area?

Yes. Quin village about 8 miles from Kiltannon has several good pub restaurants and we have a wonderful service on offer from Peppers pub/restaurant in Feakle. They will come and collect you from your cottage any evening of the week and bring you back again. You are expected to dine and their menu is very good value and has plenty of choice. Peppers is a family run establishment and is a lovely traditional type pub. They also have traditional music sessions year round on Sunday and Wednesday evenings and in the busy summer time on Saturdays too.

Q. Is there much to see in the locality?

Yes. In each unit there is comprehensive local information on the best sights to see – we can help with booking things like the Medieval Banquets and if you book your visit to Bunratty Folk Park and Craggaunowen through us we can give you a discounted entry to these attractions. Also please go to the Local and Heritage attractions section on this website for full listings.

Q. What will the weather be like at any time of year?

Please check out www.wunderground.com Shannon region for a really good forecast. We are very much influenced by our proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and it is very hard for us to advise on weather at any time of the year! We really can experience the four seasons in one day!

Q. How can I find Kiltannon Home Farm?
